Sabrina Mertes

Sabrina joins Dynamite Volleyball with a wealth of volleyball knowledge and experience. In addition to her High School and USA Volleyball experience, Sabrina played for four years as a Middle Hitter at Grand Valley State University . During her collegiate career Sabrina was twice named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All Conference Player, earned the distinction of American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All Midwest Region Player, and in 2003 was named AVCA Player of the Year. Sabrina made 4 NCAA Elite 8 appearances, two NCAA final 4 appearances, and in 2017 she was inducted into the Grand Valley State University Athletic Hall of Fame. Since graduating, Sabrina has remained active in the volleyball world, playing recreationally and coaching grade school volleyball. Sabrina has visited other clubs, but says she’s found a home at Dynamite as she truly believes in the philosophy of our club.
